Junior got his initial inspiration from a tough upbringing in West Kingston's notorious Waterhouse district. It was there in the politically turbulent mid-'70's that he recorded his first-ever single "Know Myself" at the age of 14 for the late Hugh Mundell, released in the U.K. by Greensleeves. With his incisive, prophetic lyrics and unstinting support for the ghettoman cause, Junior Reid remains until today a roots artist of great power while maintaining an already burgeoning international reputation.

Primitive Reason returns to European stages this summer to celebrate the rerelease of their first album, Alternative Prison. The “Back To
The Future –Tour 2008” will feature a special live set that will include many ‘classics’ from their critically acclaimed debut album. The band will also be presenting their recently released Cast The Way EP, as well as, several unreleased tracks from their upcoming full-length record. For over a decade, Primitive Reason has been building a faithful and ever-growing cult following throughout many parts of the world.
From rap-core to alt-metal, rock/reggae to punk/ska, their innovative sound and powerful live concerts have impressed fans of various genres of music. Since 1996, the Lisbon (Portugal) based band has released five studio albums and toured throughout Portugal, U.S.A, United Kingdom and Spain. The band has also performed at many summer music festivals and shared the stage with an extensive list of international bands including SOAD, Tool, Audioslave, Marilyn Manson, Incubus, Soulfly, Deftones, and Prodigy, to name a few.

Stereo Maracanã is a group committed to musical experimentation. Their point of departure is combining drum machines with rills of hip-hop grooves, lots of percussion and poetry. In 2002 the band released their first CD “Combatente” (Maianga Discos). In Brazil, Stereo Maracanã performed in big festivals and collaborated with several artists like the carioca funk queen Fernanda Abreu and Mr Catra. In 2008 their new album “Mentalidade Safari” will be released and an European Tour will take placein October 2008.
