It saddens my heart grievously bad to have to say good-bye to my long time brother, friend, buddy and comrade Reggae Legend Aswah Luther Gregory. He passed in Louisiana on Monday August 3, 2009. His smiling face and voice will be missed. He is one of the US based/ mid-west based REGGAE pioneers.

He was on there on the road before most regional REGGAE Bands even knew about REGGAE music. He served the United States in the Vietnam War and helped build the REGGAE community in Chicago. Unfortunately at the end the Chicago REGGAE scene did not give him the respect of his life's work and he was forced to return to his family home in Louisiana.

JAH hold my brother in your arms and give him rest, for he worked endless and hard while he was with us here upon this eart.
