Maneesh the
Twister
has been involved in music and
djing for over 10 years and is a co-founder of the west coast's
original Asian breakbeat Massive, Dhamaal. He first started djing
college radio and on-air djing for a commercial alternative station
while at Uni. After moving to SF he began doing a radio show on KUSF
90.3 FM and then got involved in the club djing circuit. He co-started
an indie space-rock/electronic night called Spacecake; in addition to
his indie side, Maneesh has quite varied tastes being heavily
influenced by dub and is a resident of the weekly dub & roots night,
Dub Mission. He was also co-founder of the 5 year long eclectic weekly
happy-hour event, Stir-Fri-day at 111 Minna.
Maneesh has opened for artists such as Adrien Sherwood, Badmarsh &
Shri, State of Bengal, Karsh Kale, MIDIval PunditZ & Scientist.
He's dj'd all over SF, as well as in NY, LA, NC, TX, FL, and
internationally in Hong Kong, Mumbai, New Delhi, Bangalore, Goa and
Bangkok, where he currently resides and is spinning as well and working
on tunes. In addition to Maneesh's eclectic taste in music, he is also
a connoisseur of palak paneer, well-brewed chai, and all flavors spacey.

PERSONAL STATEMENT
A Hip Hop based scratch DJ, bringing hardstep Drum,n,Bass and variation
mixes.
Started Dj-ing in 1995 playing house parties and local clubs in Central
London as well as some venues in and around Bournemouth.
Am currently based in Thailand.
EXPERIENCE
Jan 97 to Dec 99: Free parties in and around London, Somerset and Dorset
with 'Sonic Entertainment', and also worked with 'Urban
Warfare', 'Illuminati Cru' and the 'Random' rig.

ONE.. Discography..
Furiously
Funky on the Turntables, OFAY brings a unique style to the club
scene. Scratching and cutting his mixes, OFAY is one of few DJ¹s
in Thailand
who plays Hip-hop, R&B, and Classic Funk breaks. After years on the
club
circuit of San Francisco, OFAY went international, playing in Costa Rica,
Egypt, India, Indonesia, Singapore, Japan, and now resides here in Thailand.
OFAY
is the resident hip-hop DJ at Q Bar Bangkok, playing to a packed house
every Sunday night. But aside from his involvement with the internationally
acclaimed Q Bar, OFAY has made a name for himself throughout Asia and
the
US. Through special appearances at clubs around the region and his Mix
CD's
OFAY has become one of the most desired DJ's on the Asian club circuit.
In
2001 OFAY received a High Five award from METRO Magazine as one of the
top five DJ's in Thailand. Then In 2002 OFAY retained his title by competing
in the FMX - Heineken DJ Spin competition. Out of more than three hundred
entries OFAY was one of the final five competitors who performed on UBC
television at the Ministry Of Sound in May.
In
August DJ OFAY opened for the Pet Shop Boy's at Impact Arena. Billed as
the "Bangkok Assault Team" OFAY played along side Drum n' Bass
DJ Victor
Paul. The two DJ's played on four turntables simultaneously, rocking the
the
crowd with a stellar display of turntable-ism.
In
September OFAY performed on MTV with DJ Galactic Soul and MC Tul, front
man for Thai indy-rock band "Arai JA". Most recently OFAY appeared
on MTV
with The Dum Dum Project, an American DJ - MC duo whose recent album "Export
Quality" has been released throughout Asia. OFAY performed live with
them on
MTV as well as touring with them in Thailand.
