the new Deep Root and Universal Egg releases are currently in production featuring a straight up roots reggae rhythm with the soulful king of the genre on vocals this tune is taken from the Zion Train album 'Live As One'. The versions on this 7" will not be found on the album. The title of the song speaks for itself and the rhythm had the great Mr 16 reminiscing of the golden age of Jamaican music as soon as he heard it...

The next for 2007 on the Deep Root imprint is the second new release from ZionTrain this year – featuring the established lush vocal sounds of Earl 16 ‘Give MeGood Sensi’ is taken from the forthcoming Zion Train long player entitled ‘Live AsOne’ to be released on Universal Egg in September 2007. Earl 16 is well knownto all fans of reggae and dance music from his work at Studio One, Channel One,many many reggae artists and also Leftfield and Dreadzone and he has beencollaborating with Zion Train for several years now.Release date is 21st May, 2007.The 7” release has EXCLUSIVE mixes that will not be featured on any otherrelease with an Earl 16 vocal cut on the A side and a perch dubwise cut on theflipside.This 7” release is a limited edition release as always on Deep Root. April seems to have been busy as ever with visits to the UK, Germany
and Holland on the live front including our first gig in a Hackney
squat for several years – thanks to Debz for that followed by a lovely
evening in Roadwater and a pleasant little Sunday jaunt in Bournemouth
with the Geeza and Dubheart.
Germany also involved squat venues with great vibes at Luebeck's
Triebsand and Bielefeld's AJZ after which we drove over to Berlin to
participate in the massive Move Against G8 concert which was an honour
to be associated with.
Next stop was the Netherlands with a great mid-week show in the ever
reliable Ekko of Utrecht followed by two quiet nights in Hoorn and
Lelystad which seem terminally quiet (sadly) – however our last night
in Holland at the Hotel Bosch, Arnhem made up for all that with a
great and welcoming crew in the house – thanks to Ria and Paul.

Next month sees us in Greece for the first time, Czech Republic, UK and
Russia
