Snypa King, Lady Shelly & Jah Cruise got together on Sunday May 20th to shoot a medley video for the woodwork riddim. If you are not familiar with this riddim it was released in mid February but is just now picking up steam on radio stations in Jamaica. Of all the tracks on the riddim, more attention has been given to Lady Shelly’s “kum out” as it focuses on the issue of domestic abuse. For her portion of the video, the “karamanti” created a scene in an abuse center filled with female victims and a male aggressor. Even though, the scene was short the message was delivered with clear precession. Listen to Lady Shelly's new tune (or download it): LADY SHELLY'S REGGAE: WHO WE BE
Lady Shelly who recently relocated to Jamaica, from Canada has been busy in the studio recording for producers such as JJ Wizzle, Hooligan Productions and many others. She plans on releasing her first mix cd this summer which will be a preview of the actual album. Keep a watch on this rising star.
