Full line-up announcement Reggaefest Roots and Culture Music Festival – September 17 & 18 – is set to be a magical weekend. The festival site is in the beautiful outdoors with plenty of grassy spots to relax in the sunshine, beside a sandy beach and clear blue water where the river meets the ocean. We’re pleased to announce community, cultural and environmental groups such as Byron Movement, B.S.A.N.E (anti CSG mining group), Sea Shepherd, KulchaJam and the Bunjum Aboriginal Co-Operative will be involved in this year’s festival. Reggaefest is taking festival going back to its roots – the weekend is a forum for arts, culture and creativity. Here are just a few of the additions to the line-up – from the era of ska and rocksteady, the legendary Stranger Cole (Jamaica), reggae / hip hop star Deadly Hunta (UK), ARIA award nominees King Tide, Australia’s king of dubstep/electronica Spoonbill and Indigenous Australian hip hop/reggae outfit from Bulwai Country, Zennith.
