Submitting your news is easy, JUST SEND US A MAIL AT the address listed at the bottom of the (please read) page but please assist us to ensure your news will be put up by reading the following:

Content:

- Content must be Reggae, Dancehall, Ska, Reggae Dub or other reggae offsprings such as Reggaeton...
- Of course you'll have to avoid contents that contains all kinds of homophobia, chemical drugs, pornography and so on...
- Links in articles are allowed but we try to promote links to your own website rather then social networks
- You can apply all kinds of color and size formatting in the texts, but please try to keep it simple and clear... best is no formatting really... when it becomes to complex to clean it up I just give up ... sorry
- ARTICLES MUST HAVE AT LEAST 300 WORDS AND A PICTURE (link to picture online somewhere is preferred)
- Please try as much as possible to build the article as attachement rather than an html email (picture links will direct to email account... )
- We will not put up news if you only send us information referenced only with myspace.com ... promoters/bands who rely only on myspace ... rely only on myspace... sorry to say but by doing so these people promote globalisation... and we don't.... as a matter of fact most myspace links are removed from articles.

Images:

- instead of sending big pictures, please supply the url of the picture you probably already have online somewhere (how to do: right click on the picture in the browser, choose option "properties", the url to the picture should show somewhere in the popup)
- if you really have to send pictures, no problem, but please keep below 40Kb (how to do: open them in a photo editor, choose option "resize" and choose width: "300"px, then save or export it in jpg format)

Music or Video Streaming:

Please don't email us tunes or videos anymore... rather please choose a method below:

1/ (PREFERRED WAY)

- If the video is stored on your website or any private website, then just send link to the music or video file online (you can proceed the same way than an image if you know where is a link to the file, if not you'll have to ask the website administrator)
- keep the file in the listening format (don't zip it)
- if you don't have a place to store your files, best i could find so far is mediafire.com but you can also try sendspace.com or zshare.net and others but make sure that you set them in a way which allows direct download without going through advertisements (zshare)

If you don't have a website to store your files online We can stream Media in the following formats:

• FLV
• MP3
• SWF (flash)
• WMV (Windows Media Video)
• WMA (Windows Media Audio)
• MOV (Quicktime Video)
• MP4 (H.264 Video)
• 3GP Video
• DivX Video

 ... we can't stream zip files... sorry ^_^

2/ if the video is on a major social network website, then all we need is the video id and the website it's on:

Roots Reggae Club can stream music or videos directly from:

3/ if the video is on a network which doesn't belong to one of the above, then just send us the embed link

4/ Recently we have found that you can upload your songs in http://www.jukeboxalive.com and just send us the link of the player such as this:

http://www.jukeboxalive.com/player/player.php?sid=2744337&method=play

 and we can insert the player directly in the article page

Posting / changing News yourself on the website is possible:

Approved registered Users only can add or edit articles:

Regular news providers are welcomed to create an account and request for editing rights (send email at the address below)
Approved news editors will be notified by email after being approved

Articles won't come up directly, they'll have to be approved first
